**Job description **

**Contract Grant Writer: ** We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and passionate team member to join our growing team. The grant writer will assist with foundation funding opportunities, grant writing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities Include:·      Assist with the execution of the assigned client’s grant strategy

·      Identify grant funding opportunities from prospect research

·      Write and submit grant proposals/LOIs and according to the client agreement

·      Maintain a master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence.

·      Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents when needed

·      Attend collaborative client meetings with the client bi-weekly at a minimum

·      Maintaining library of grant support documents

·      Submit monthly client reports

**Education & Experience: **

- 4-year college degree minimum

- At least 5 years of nonprofit experience

- At least 6 years of successful grant writing experience

- At least 5 years of Federal/State grant writing experience

- Demonstrated experience in grant research.

**Knowledge & Abilities: **

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines.

- Detail-oriented nature.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

- Experience with CRM software systems; and

- Familiarity and experience working with national, governmental funders.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Expected hours: 10 per week depending on the project
