**Principal Accountabilities**

Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading safe work practices.

Assist responsible parties in completing corrective and preventive actions.

Responsible for fire asset management, including fire protection systems, i.e., extinguishers, hoses, and alarms.

Maintain chemical and fire monitors and alarms.

Manage and maintain the mill’s evacuation system, including emergency lights.

Work with external agencies conducting safety inspections, safety inspections with OSHA compliance officers, insurance company representatives, local fire department, etc. Record and follow up on their recommendations.

**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the Title IX/ADA Coordinator and Equal Opportunity Officer, the Civil Rights Investigator serves as the primary investigator for complaints involving civil rights, discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and retaliation under applicable federal and state laws and University policies. The position also supports campus training and education efforts and serves as a backup to the ADA Coordinator.

**Responsibilities**

-  Conducts prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into complaints involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, and other civil rights violations involving students, faculty, and staff. Manages all aspects of the investigative process, including intake, interviews, evidence collection, analysis, and preparation of comprehensive investigative reports. Works collaboratively with campus partners, including Human Resources, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and University Police to ensure coordinated and legally compliant responses to complaints.

-  Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and neutrality in handling sensitive matters, and exercises and high degree of independence while maintaining collaborative communication with the Title IX/ADA Coordinator. **Job Summary**

The Strategic Initiatives & Event Marketing Assistant supports the Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives and Marketing in elevating the visibility, engagement, and overall experience within the College of Education (COE). The role plays a central part in planning and executing College- and Center-level events' especially those related to Georgia's BEST and the new Center for Educator Ethics' ensuring high-quality coordination, logistics, communication, and on-site support. The position also contributes significantly to the College's marketing and communications efforts by assisting in the creation of promotional materials, supporting digital and social media content, assisting with storytelling, and maintaining consistent branding across platforms. While the position maintains a strong focus on the Georgia's BEST program and the Center for Educator Ethics, it also provides flexible support to College-wide priorities as needed.

- Coordinate and support College- and Center-led events (e.g., workshops, speaker series, trainings, recruitment and outreach events, donor/partner visits, and internal events.

**Job Summary**

The Director of eCampus Creative Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for marketing, brand, and public relations initiatives that drive enrollment growth and strengthen program visibility across USG eCampus. The role leads the development of strategic communication and messaging frameworks that ensure consistent, compelling positioning of eCampus programs across external channels. The Director also oversees project management for creative services and marketing initiatives, coordinating priorities, timelines, and production to ensure efficient delivery of high-impact campaigns and materials. This role partners closely with leadership across eCore, eMajor, and other partners to build cohesive marketing strategies that attract new students and support program expansion, with a focus on external audiences, measurable outcomes, and scalable, data-informed marketing practices.

**Responsibilities**

**1 -**

Strategic Marketing Leadership & Brand Development- Lead development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that support eCampus growth goals and align with institutional priorities. Drive brand consistency and messaging across all programs, including affiliate, dual enrollment, and eMajor degree pathways. Build and maintain strong public relations and brand reputation strategy to increase awareness and credibility across Georgia and beyond. Work with affiliates to convert institutional priorities into marketing plans with measurable outcomes. Present marketing strategies, progress, and performance updates to leadership and key stakeholders. Ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned with the eCampus mission and positioned for scalability and long-term growth.

Marketing Operations, Creative Direction & Production-Oversee development and execution of print, multimedia, video and digital marketing assets that support institutional priorities and engagement goals. Serve as project manager for creative services initiatives, coordinating requests, prioritizing projects, and managing timelines from concept through completion. Manage internal workflows, production schedules, and quality control to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality marketing materials. Ensure marketing content is optimized for digital channels, conversion, and student experience.

Analytics, Performance Measurement & ROI Build and maintain performance dashboards and metrics to track marketing and recruitment effectiveness. Analyze campaign performance and conversion data to inform continuous improvement and optimize ROI. Provide regular reporting to leadership on outcomes, budget efficiency, and strategic recommendations. Use data to drive decision-making and justify investments in marketing initiatives.

Budget Management Compliance & Other Duties Oversee marketing budget, purchasing, and compliance in alignment with UWG and USG policies. **Job Summary**

Key responsibilities of this position include the following:

- 50% of the duties will focus on research and development in machine learning, artificial intelligence, trustworthy multi-modal and multi-agent AI system design, AI security and risk, intelligent cyber-physical systems, and data science. Testing the computing cyber-infrastructure with a multi-modal multi-agent ML framework with numerous distinct ML agents by running them vertically. Particularly, realize and control over 100,000 heterogeneous and distributed ML agents. This metric will be investigated on a Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

- 20% duties include demo preparation, coding and implementation, testbed development, testing, and result generation based on the developed Trustworthy AI infrastructure. Create audio-video presentations to present to technical and nontechnical audiences.

- 10% duties include leadership, teamwork, and mentoring undergraduate student assistants in AI/ML development, Raspberry PI, sensors, robots, server computers, edge devices, and other technologies.

- 20% duties for reading existing literature and writing scientific research papers based on research and development findings to submit to a peer-reviewed IEEE conference or journal. GRA will be responsible for doing other scientific work as needed.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria:

- Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions.

- The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent area.

- Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.

- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.

- Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.

- The candidate must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in any School of Computing, Analytics, and Modeling graduate program.

- Candidate must have working experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems, and software development.

- Experts in the Python platform and relevant libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and so on.

- Habituate to any IDE such as PyCharm, Notebook, NetBeans, Eclipse, etc.

- Working capability with several operating systems, such as Linux (i.e., Ubuntu), Raspberry Pi, Windows OS, and Mac.

- Knowledgeable in fundamental mathematics such as linear algebra, matrices, and calculus.

- Hands-on experience with any programming language, including Python, Java, C#, etc.

- Problem-solving capabilities, eagerness to learn new technologies, and the capability to meet deadlines.

- Experience in technical writing.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in developing machine learning models for the medical and cyber domains will be a plus.

- Experience in working on embedding systems is preferred.

- Commitment of 20 hours per week is expected during weekdays.

- Time management skills to meet the deadline.

- Based on the nature of tasks, expected to work in person in an intelligent cyber-physical system laboratory environment.

Proposed Salary

- A monthly stipend of $1,200.00 per month

- A tuition waiver, reducing your semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
