**Job Summary**

**Department Specific Job Responsibilities**

-  Processes human blood, serum, and other biological specimens using tissue culture and other laboratory techniques defined by the

principles of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) standard operating procedures (SOPs). These human samples are obtained from

phase I/II/III clinical trials testing candidate vaccines/therapeutics against COVID-19, HIV-1, and other emerging pathogens.

We’re seeking a Managing Investigator to join our Executive Due Diligence team. This critical role has two components: individual contributor and case manager. As an individual contributor, you will conduct sophisticated research on complex or high-profile cases, using advanced investigative skills. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires every state to establish a health insurance exchange (also called Health Insurance Marketplace) to facilitate the purchase of health insurance for individuals and small businesses. Through the Center of Program Integrity (CPI), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has strong oversight and internal controls to protect consumers enrolled in the Marketplaces and safeguard taxpayer dollars. CMS develops and enforces rules for insurance agents, brokers, and others who assist with FFM enrollments. The Marketplace Program Integrity Contract (MPIC) is designed to support this oversight. The New York City Department of Correction seeks to recruit Supervising Investigators for the Investigation Division. Under the direction of a Deputy Director for the Investigation Division and with latitude to exercise independent judgement and decision making, the successful candidates for this position will be responsible for supervising criminal and/or non-criminal, unique, highly confidential and sensitive investigations. The Investigation Division (ID) is responsible for investigating all Use of Force incidents that occur within the Department of Correction in a timely, efficient manner while remaining un-biased in the analysis of evidence. It is the Divisions responsibility to ensure that all employees act within the guidelines of Directives relating to Use of Force and prepare administrative charges when necessary.

**Typical Responsibilities Of This Position Include:**

-  Supervising a team of investigators engaged in the performance of confidential, highly

complex, and/or special investigations involving surveillance, interrogation of subjects

and witnesses, and examinations and analysis of public or agency records.

-  Supervising investigations concerning reported and/or alleged Use of Force incidents.

-  Liaising with the Department of Investigation, the New York City Police Department,

and/or District Attorneys’ offices with respect to these investigations.

-  Preparing, reviewing, evaluating, and acting on all reports, studies and recommendations

submitted for administrative action; making recommendations regarding investigations.

-  Working in close coordination with federal, state and city investigation and law enforcement

agencies; testifying at hearings and court proceedings.

-  Understanding and ability to apply the DOC Directives, procedures, rules and regulations,

and understanding of the administrative disciplinary procedures and the criminal justice system.

**Preferred Skills**

-  Previous supervisory or management background is a plus, with at least five (5) or more years
