**About The Role**

We are looking for an organized and motivated **Email Marketing Associate ** to support our email marketing efforts within a fast-paced retail environment. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning the fundamentals of lifecycle and promotional marketing while gaining hands-on experience in campaign planning, execution, and performance reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage and maintain the email marketing calendar, ensuring campaigns are aligned with business priorities

- Brief the creative team on upcoming email campaigns, including objectives, messaging needs, and strategic priorities

- Partner closely with the operations team to coordinate email campaign setup, QA, and deployment

- Monitor and report on email campaign performance, including key metrics such as open rates, click rates, and conversion.

- Assist in post-campaign analysis and contribute insights to improve future campaigns

- Support documentation of processes and help improve workflow efficiency across teams

- Partner with cross-functional teams (ecommerce, merchandising, creative, stores) to execute marketing campaigns

- Assist with market research, competitor analysis, and trend tracking

**Qualifications**

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

2-3 years of marketing experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

**Preferred Skills**

Experience with email marketing platforms (Braze is a plus!)

Familiarity with web tools and analytics (Google Analytics, PowerBI etc.)

Basic knowledge of marketing metrics and reporting

Retail, ecommerce, or consumer brand experience a plus

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $64,200.00 - $79,600.00

This role is critical to helping Zappos drive revenue growth and deliver a best-in-class customer marketing experience. The Email & App Marketing Associate will provide technical expertise for the marketing team to enhance customer experiences using platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud by coding, building, and testing email communications and push notifications. This position will develop and implement marketing journeys and provide ongoing support of our email marketing systems and automation platforms. The Email & App Marketing Associate will partner with Tech teams to provide recommendations for marketing cloud platform. Key job responsibilities

Daily Email Coding

-  Code, build and test email communications and push notifications

-  Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content

-  Monitor active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshoot to resolve errors

-  Design emails and fix issues utilizing HTML/CSS and marketing cloud developer tools

-  Refresh and modernize existing email templates on an ad-hoc basis

-  Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on-time delivery, progression of messaging, etc.

-  Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance across email and push notifications

-  Serve as MC technical expert to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities

-  Partner with the team to identify opportunities and new ideas for testing, personalizing, or launching new lifecycle campaigns to increase customer engagement and spend

-  Collaborate with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications

Triggers and Automations

-  Implement lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys

-  Modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs

-  Optimize automated segments

Email Database Management

-  Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements

-  Manage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc

-  Work with Data Engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases

-  Work with Tech and Data Engineers to ensure data synchronization between internal systems and Salesforce

**Basic Qualifications**

-  2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

-  1+ years of Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, and Excel experience

-  1+ years of designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs, specifically lifecycle/nurture programs experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

-  Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management

-  Experience using data visualization tools
