**The ideal prep cook candidate will:**

- Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes

- Work as a team player

- Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area

- Advise supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement

- Properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items

- Check computer printout for menu amounts and recipes. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. Submit food usage report to supervisor.

- Any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor.

**Job Qualifications: **

- Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven

- If you lack experience but are motivated and teachable, we would still love to talk to see if you are a good fit for our team!

- A strong work ethic and commitment to uncompromising quality

- A team-oriented approach and a calm demeanor during time-sensitive tasks

- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully

- Willingness to cross-train into other areas and Happy Day restaurants

- Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance

- Maintain a positive attitude and commitment to excellence

- Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

- Access to reliable transportation

Coffee Roasters building on Main Street, Mystic incorporates the original hardwood floors, beams, and bricks walls to create a distinctive and engaging dining atmosphere in our newly expanded space.
