**Overview**

**Job description:**

*We are seeking a dedicated Parenting Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with families and children, providing guidance and support to promote healthy family dynamics.*

**Duties**

-  Conduct individual meetings, within client homes, to provide education and connections to community resources to strengthen and empower families.

-  Assist parents in developing effective parenting skills and strategies.

-  Educate parents on physical and emotional child development.

-  Implement curriculum based programs that focus on the importance of raising children in a warm, trusting and caring household.

-  Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress made by families.

**Qualifications**

-  High School Diploma or Equivalent

-  One year of Experience working with children and families, IE: child care provider, parent, daycare worker, preschool educator

-  Knowledge of child development and willingness to learn about community resources.

-  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-  Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

-  Writing and computer skills sufficient to communicate with staff and clients

-  Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation

Up to 20 hours a week.
