The Alaska Department of Public Safety (DPS), Commissioner's Office, Office of Tribal Affairs is seeking a Program Coordinator I to support tribal liaison initiatives and strengthen relationships with Alaska Native tribes, communities and organizations. This position serves as an advisor to the Commissioner's Office, promoting meaningful consultation and collaboration with tribal communities statewide. Responsibilities include planning and implementing program initiatives, assisting with Native cultural awareness training, and advancing government-to-government relations to enhance cultural competency and program effectiveness.

This position works from the Office of Tribal Affairs, Commissioner's office located in the DPS Headquarters building on Tudor Road in Anchorage. The DPS headquarters building has over 150 employees which allows ample opportunity to develop professional relationships.
