**Position Overview**

The Department of Physics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar for the Farinacci Family Postdoctoral Fellowship in Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE).

This prestigious fellowship is hosted by the Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (CQISE) at The Ohio State University. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of excellence in one or more core areas of quantum information, such as quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum simulation, quantum networks, or quantum sensing, from either a theoretical or experimental perspective.

Under the mentorship of CQISE-affiliated faculty members (see quantum.osu.edu/faculty), the postdoctoral fellow will engage in innovative, collaborative research to strengthen the university's growing quantum ecosystem.

**Minimum Education Required**

Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.

**Required Qualifications**

-  Demonstrated experience in quantum information science research, either theoretical or experimental.

-  Strong collaborative skills and a demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

Some of the services include; weed and algae control, fountain installations, aeration systems, fish stocking, mosquito control, water testing, beneficial aquatic plants, mitigation services, water clarification, and shoreline restoration. The Lake Doctors

Availability: Immediate - includes on the job training

Job Type: Full-time, Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday - Friday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: starting at $19.00 per hour, negotiable depending on related experience, PLUS commissions

We are currently seeking technicians that enjoy working independently outside, can communicate well with customers, and take pride in their work. The qualified full-time Technician will treat and maintain lakes, ponds, and other bodies of water for a variety of customers in the Central, Eastern and North Eastern Ohio.

**Duties/Responsibilities **:

- Treating and maintaining lake vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts

- Other duties include water testing, stocking fish, assisting fountain department and other pond and lake services

- Maintain communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations, Management Companies and Property Owners.

- Present a positive and professional image in the community to help grow The Lake Doctors, Inc. business

- Maintain customer records within customer service software system - on the job training.

**Requirements**

- Ability to read and interpret herbicide labels, operating procedures, and safety rules

- Possess good time management, organizational and communication skills

- Highly motivated individual that works well on their own

- Strong Team Player

- Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their lake and pond needs

**Education and Experience:**

- Experience in lawn service or pest control (helpful)

- Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge (helpful)

- High school or equivalent (required). Some college helpful but not essential

**Physical Requirements:**

- Physical strength and agility to safely and sufficiently operate equipment such as boats, all-terrain vehicles, trucks and other assigned equipment or vehicles in outdoor environments, on or near water, in an environment that may include heavy vegetation, uneven terrain, various species of wildlife and varying weather conditions

- Ability to safely winch, launch a boat on uneven terrain from a trailer, including when required, the ability to move or carry a Jon/utility boat to the shoreline up to a distance of 50ft

- Must be able to on occasion flip fountains over, lift or move fountains ranging from 50 to 100lbs

- Must be able to wear all personal protection equipment needed in various weather conditions

**Restrictions **:

- A valid, clean driver's license for the operations of various motor vehicles and equipment. Our insurance company must accept you as an insured prior to employment

- Full Time only

- Must have reliable transportation to and from work

- We perform background checks, motor vehicle record checks and drug screening
