Any pet owner knows how annoying and difficult it is to remove pet hair and lint from your clothing, furniture, carpeting and pretty much everything else. 

A recent report by the American Pet Products Association found that a staggering 70% of American households own at least one pet, this means that the pet hair issue affects hundreds of millions of Americans. In fact, multiple studies and surveys have identified that the mess from excess pet hair ranked as the NUMBER ONE pain-point and challenge that pet owners encounter.

For such a large problem, we noticed that the tools on the market that were sup- posed to help with the pet hair issue, like a standard lint roller, were simply ineffective and also incredibly wasteful. We knew there had to be a better way.

This is exactly why we founded Uproot Clean.

The massive pet hair problem deserves effective tools, and we set out to develop an assortment of very well made and highly effective tools to remove pet hair from upholstery, carpeting, rugs, clothes and almost everywhere pet hair shouldn’t be!

Our mission is to help the hundreds of millions of pet owners enjoy their time with their furry friends a little bit more, by taking some of the hassle out of cleaning and caring for them.

**Create scroll-stopping content for a scaling DTC brand. ** We need a performance-focused video editor who can turn raw footage into high-converting ads and social content - with creative freedom and direct feedback loops on what's working.

**About Uproot Clean **

Uproot Clean is a fast-growing, eco-friendly pet care brand expanding across major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Chewy. Our marketing team is scaling rapidly, and we're looking for a video editor who wants to grow their skills in performance marketing while building a long-term role with a mission-driven company.

**The Role **

You'll be our go-to editor for short-form video content that drives sales—think Facebook/Instagram ads, TikTok content, and social clips. You'll work with a steady flow of creator and product footage, turning it into thumb-stopping content that performs. This isn't agency churn-and-burn; you'll see what converts, iterate based on data, and refine your craft with real-time feedback.

**What You'll Do **

**Video Editing & Production **

- Create high-performing Facebook/Instagram ad creatives and social media clips

- Edit short-form content optimized for platform-specific formats

- Source and organize B-roll and stock footage using the provided subscriptions

- Manage creator content in Frame.io and maintain organized asset libraries

**Graphic Design & Assets **

- Design marketing images, thumbnails, and social graphics

- Create on-brand visual assets using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva

**Project Management **

- Track assignments and status updates in ClickUp

- Follow naming conventions and file organization protocols

- Communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, and questions

**Requirements **

- **3-5+ years ** of video editing experience, specializing in short-form content

- **Expert-level Adobe Premiere Pro ** skills (required)

- **Proven experience ** creating or editing Facebook/Instagram ads

- **Mid-level proficiency ** with Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva

- **Strong fundamentals ** in typography, color theory, composition, and motion graphics

- **Fluent English ** — excellent written and verbal communication

- **Self-managed ** — strong time management and ability to meet daily/weekly deadlines

- **Proactive communicator ** — asks questions early, flags issues before they become problems

- **Portfolio required ** — you must submit a portfolio showcasing your video editing work. Applications without portfolios will not be considered.

**Nice to Have **

- Background in DTC or e-commerce brands

- Experience with remote collaboration tools (Slack, ClickUp, Frame.io, Notion)

- Familiarity with performance marketing metrics and what makes ads convert
